After all, we live and breathe cars, just the same as our customers and it’s always a great feeling seeing what some of you are doing. This particular yellow Corvette C6 Z06 comes with a set of WELD S71 wheels in the front and WELD S76 in the rear. In turn, the vehicle looks good, but it’s also ready to tackle the drag strip. Naturally, Mickey Thompson tires go hand-in-hand with a wheel setup like this, allowing the owner to put its foot down and grab all the traction they can get on the drag strip rubber.
The Corvette Z06 comes equipped with the largest-displacement small-block engine ever produced by the American carmaker. Displacing a whopping 8,011 cc (40. liters), the engine codenamed LS7 is able to deliver 505 horsepower and 470 lb⋅ft (637 N⋅m) of torque. In turn, upon release, this made it the most powerful production naturally aspirated engine made by General Motors. In addition to the larger displacement engine, the Corvette Z06 has a dry-sump oiling system, and connecting rods made out of titanium alloy. The frame of the Z06 is constructed from aluminum, saving 136 lb (62 kg) over the standard steel frame. Additionally, other weight-saving items include balsa wood/carbon fiber composite floors and a magnesium alloy engine cradle, further reducing the overall weight of the vehicle by a substantial margin.
As far as the exterior looks go, the Z06’s body differentiates itself from the standard Corvette with its larger front and rear fenders and an intake inlet scoop on the front bumper. Add the lightweight WELD S71 and WELD S76 wheels, and you’ve got yourself a perfect looking Corvette Z06 and one happy owner.
